Yahoo Chat isnt working anymore for me?

For a few weeks everytime I try to go into Yahoo Chat I get into a room which in the room list said 48 people but when I get in the room I can only see about 8 and most of these are bots. I stay for a littlle while and then I get booted, or messenger shuts down or I get chaterror. I tried d/l the latest version of messenger, thinking that might work, it hasnt..any ideas?? please..thanks
