What dog breed and why?

ok, so my family is looking to get a new dog. We dont have any dogs but we dont want one thats to mean with other dogs. we also want a dog that is a light shedder and doesnt drool alot. We are thing of 5 different breeds. pitbull, english mastiff,great dane, shar-pei, boxer. tell us which one you think is the best and why for are family. we have kids yougner than 5 so needs to be good with kids to.
