My car CD player stopped working??

i have a toyota cam 01 xle and my car has tape/cd/radio it has 6 cd changer and i don't know if one cd is stuck because it keeps flashing #4 cd but it doesn't work but the tape works. what do i do i don't want to go to dealer they will charge like couple of hundreds tell me what to do??
