Can EMT/Paramedic have controlled drugs in field kits?

I'm thinking of taking courses to become EMT/Paramedic certified and I'm wondering the legalities of having Epi-Pens/morphine/Lidocaine if you are certified EMT. I have some pretty serious medical kits (I'm first aid certified) but If I go camping for 2 weeks in the middle of nowhere, what's the deal for having those emergency controlled drugs?
